Tropical nights

We would like to show you this stunning project in the Whitsunday island on the Queensland coast. The dunk island resort is situated a short way from the coast. Our lighting products are casually arranged around the interior and works in well with the relaxed tropical atmosphere. The indoor outdoor vibe is the new Australia way cool and rocking, wish we where there.

Darcy Clarke on the World Wide Web

Creating a website a first glance seems like a simple thing. It is not so simple, I'm about to launch version 2 of my site. Amazing, Exciting, Hot, Professional and just what my business required. A warm thanks to the following people who helped me create this. I'm attaching their contact should you require the midas touch.
Rick Shearman who designed the site:
Libby Varcoe who fashioned the text:
Alberto Sanchez for the better images:

Dwell on Design LA08

Los Angeles what a city! Amazingly for me, I'm starting to know how to get around the city or parts of it. We had a great time exhibiting our lamp designs at the Dwell on Design LA08. The show was held for the first time in Los Angeles at the impressive Convention Center before which it was held in San Francisco. The show started with a half day of trade only with interior designers, architects and retail, followed by two days of friendly Los Angelinos.
The Dwell staff (Dwell is a very cool magazine- if you didn't already know) were happy to assist in any way to make us feel welcome, and the response to our designs was very generous and flattering. Thanks to blogs apartment therapy, who took a shine to the new birch lamp design, and to Design Milk.
Alicia did a great job being Darcy Clarke, and hey to Jay and the ladies from Portland who were our friendly neighbours.

Australian Style

We're very excited to announce the exhibition of our selected lighting designs at the next Dwell on Design Los Angeles.  We're off for some Californian sunshine, and if you're in that part of the world you're welcome to visit us.  We are in booth 539 and also in the Dwell Outdoor display.  The show is being held in Los Angeles for the first time at the LA Convention Center, 6th-8th June.

Porcelain lamp shades at Kitchen

Soon to open in the Brisbane city centre is a cafe/eatery called Kitchen. There you will find our new earthy porcelain lamp shades as a striking feature to the interior. Designed especially for this project, they have each been hand thrown and we love the uneven handmade characteristic that suits our design ideology perfectly, the cut outs and the glaze have been inspired by the bark patterns on the North American White Birch. A stunning tree we experienced last April during a trip to New Hampshire in the United States.

We have called this design 'birch', and it has been added to our product range along with a very cute smaller version call 'petite'. You can expect to see some more designs from us in this material as we love it.
